WITHDRAWAL

I've withdrew from the Fashionista competition.
Or maybe, I got kicked because I was not willing to pay for my cab fare if event passes midnight.

Seriously, I'm kind of pissed off with the way they do things.
First of all, the event was clearly stated to be carried out in October and one winner of the month will be updated on the magazine cover monthly.

However, it takes them more than 2 months to just settle everything.
They could even find some guy with poor photography skill (not the main photog) to do the photoshoots.

I'm really pissed off.

This is how the conversation went.

I heard that the event is gonna last till midnight. Will there be cab fare to claim? Else I won't be able to make it.

Organiser's reply :

Hi Aden, the event is not going to last till midnight, who gave you that idea. If it does cross over midnight, I will give you $30 for taxi fare.

So an event won't passes midnight if it was held in club? Highly unlikely.

By the way, for your information, the last train is 11.45 for weekends and 11.20 for weekdays.

Hi Aden, please confirm with me again if you are taking part if not I will need to get a replacement. I hope to receive your reply by Monday night if not I will seek replacement straight off. This is a major event which I can’t afford any hip ups. I need professional individuals to complete this event.

One, I did message to check when does the event ends.

Two, I was kicked on Mon, Dec 7, 2009 at 3:46 AM. That's morning, mind you.

Three, if this is a major event, then please plan properly before releasing any updates. My whole inbox was spammed.

Four, AM I BEING UNPROFESSIONAL? I did message to check the timing and I did give prior notice that I need to claim cab fare if it's gonna end late. Isn't it something normal to do?

I was not even given 24 hours to decide and to give my reply.

Five, which professional company will use unprofessional people to work for them? Which professional company would have their company name(s) changed 3~4 times?

NAME ME SOME.

Hi Aden, to prevent unnecessary issues about your concern if the event is going to end past midnight, the organising community is not willing to cover transport expenses as we have heavily invested in renting The Arena to upmarket this event.

We will hereby replace you with another model to prevent further complications base on the fact that you are not able to make it if the event ends past midnight.

So one professional company could not even cover transport expenses for the models if it passes midnight;

and one professional company is expecting us to accomodate with them when they changed the planS over and over again;

Whatever we're winning is sponsored by sponsors instead of things/money forked out by the company;

So what the company is gonna give us is just that damn contract (which I rather not win).

Do I look like I give a damn to how much money you had invested to rent Arena? If you had good marketing strategy, you could have gotten Arena for that day for free.

I was stunned for a moment. Why is there someone who goes around asking people to choose her? It took me a while to realise it was actually 'excuse me'.

Actual : Excuse me, Excuse me

I guess it's the same shock that I've got from Number 2.
